Johannesburg: IT Systems Engineer

Design, deploy, and manage scalable and high availability infrastructure to support iGaming platforms. Monitor system performance, implement tuning improvements, and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime. Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and ensure seamless deployment processes. Implement and manage robust security measures to safeguard system integrity and protect sensitive data. Automate repetitive tasks to improve operational efficiency and reduce latency in system processes. Maintain thorough documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures. Conduct regular system audits and work towards continuous improvement in system reliability and performance. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our systems remain ahead of the curve. Have experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Are familiar with networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers. Have experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform. Have understanding of security protocols and best practices in protecting gaming systems. Maintain and optimize servers, networks, and cloud-based systems Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. Facilitate Penetrations and Vulnerability end to end and point to point audits. Qualifications and Knowledge: Matric (NQF 4), Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Gaming Compliance with SANS Standards part 1,2 and 3 is advantageous Knowledge of system integrations and API Backend logic in languages like Python, Javascript, Node.js, Java.
