Job Summary

Who are we: A business-to-business publishing house focusing on trade publications. Who are we looking for: A talented and detail-oriented Journalist (B2B). What will you do: Research and reporting: Investigate and report on current news, trends and developments impacting various niche industries within the B2B sector Interviewing: Conduct interviews with industry professionals, stakeholders and key figures to gather insights and quotes for news articles Writing: Produce well-written, compelling news stories tailored to the specific audience of each publication Industry knowledge: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the industries covered, including key regulations, market trends and emerging technologies within freight, travel, energy and ICT engineering Data interpretation: Analyse and interpret industry reports, technical documents and data to produce accurate, insightful articles Collaboration and teamwork: Work closely with editors, fellow writers and industry professionals, demonstrating strong collaboration and teamwork abilities to ensure high-quality content Meeting deadlines: Work efficiently to meet daily and weekly deadlines with precision and attention to detail What will you need: Degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field preferred Proven experience in journalism or a related field, with a portfolio showcasing published articles Applications are welcome from writers with varying levels of experience who can deliver impactful B2B news stories Ability to understand and report on niche industries (freight, travel, tourism, energy) Excellent command of the English language High attention to detail with the ability to self-edit effectively Comfortable with networking and building relationships within various industries Enjoys working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines Owns a car and holds a valid driving license, as travel will be required for interviews and industry events
