Johannesburg: Junior Estimator

Duties and Responsibilities: Cost analysis: Conduct preliminary and detailed cost analyses and estimations for projects. Documentation: Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), contract documentation, and cost plans. Support senior staff: Assist senior estimators with pricing schedules, direct cost reports, and final account preparation. Financial control: Help manage project budgets, track costs against the budget, and update cost forecasts. Tender and proposal preparation: Assist in the evaluation of tenders and the preparation of effective proposals and pricing documents. Liaise with teams: Cooperate with other professionals like project managers, architects, and engineers. Valuations: Assist with interim valuations and administer cash flow forecasts and variation orders. Industries and Skills: Industries: Common in construction, manufacturing, and property development sectors. Skills: Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with estimating software such as WinQS or CCS. Desired Experience & Qualification: Grade 12. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field. 1-2 years of construction estimating experience. Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and market prices.
