About the Role

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a driven Retail Field Manager to join our client in Gauteng. As the Retail Field Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of retail sales representatives, driving sales targets, and ensuring excellent customer service. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual with a passion for retail and the ability to lead and develop sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain relationships with retail customers at store level
  • Promote NG sales to new customers
  • Monitor and manage shelf health
  • Conduct weekly call cycles
  • Travel nationally for store visits in EC, WC, BLOEM, KZN, POLOK, NEL, JHB, PRT
  • Influence forward share and market share objectives
  • Maintain good customer relationships
  • Manage sales volume
  • Reduce damages/stock returns
  • Monitor stock holding and distribution facilities
  • Approach new customers to convert to NG
  • Communicate queries or issues internally
  • Ensure pricing alignment with store communication
  • Assist in resolving claims and queries from finance
  • Conduct after-sale follow-ups and maintain customer relationships
  • Provide weekly sales/market feedback
  • Manage slow-moving stock and pricing
  • Coordinate weekly deal pricing
  • Manage slow movers, returns, and high-risk products in collaboration with the sales team

Requirements

  • Relevant sales diploma or degree, providing a foundational understanding of sales principles and strategies
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry
  • Strong business awareness and understanding of profit and loss (P&L) dynamics
  • Ability to work independently without supervision, adhering to deadlines and self-discipline
  • Proficient negotiation and communication skills, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and flexibility
  • Customer-oriented approach, adept at problem-solving with a high level of accuracy
