Job Summary

Minimum requirements for the role: A sciences or related tertiary qualification is essential for the role. Previous sales experience selling chemical raw materials into the manufacturing industry is preferred for the role. Previous hands-on technical experience working in a laboratory or related environment within the chemical and or surfactant industry with a strong knowledge of surfactants, chemical formulations, and raw materials used in personal care, home care, and industrial applications is preferred. The company is happy to train a sciences graduate with previous laboratory or related experience into a sales role. Computer literacy including word and basic Excel is essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as a team player. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Managing and growing an existing portfolio of global key account producers and their products within the surfactant manufacturing industry. The role involves developing sales strategies, driving revenue growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction by providing high-quality chemical raw materials. Promoting new and existing products as well as training and technical support of surfactants into the manufacturing industry. Ensuring that key accounts are serviced and that their expectations of products are met. Identifying new potential customers ensuring that business is gained for the purpose of volume growth per product. Identifying and developing new products and agencies within various market as well as managing and negotiating pricing of products with customers. Managing and implementing strategies to drive growth with key accounts. Managing stock portfolio for key accounts. Provide regular reports on market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback. Identify opportunities for product development and diversification based on market demands. Monitor sales performance, revenue targets, and profitability for key accounts. Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports on suppliers and customers for management review. Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
