About the Role

The Lead Solutions Architect plays a pivotal role in designing, developing, and delivering technology solutions aligned with business objectives within the banking and finance sector. This 12-month contract position requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders to drive technical strategy and provide expert guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of architecture frameworks for complex banking and finance systems, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into comprehensive technical solutions that align with organisational goals.
  • Develop and maintain architecture documentation, including blueprints, roadmaps, and standards.
  • Engage with stakeholders to provide expert advice on technology trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure solutions are delivered according to the architectural vision and best practices.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and platforms that enhance the organisation’s technological capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and security policies throughout the solution lifecycle.
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to architects, developers, and other technical staff.
  • Drive continuous improvement in architecture processes and standards within the organisation.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities effectively within the contract period.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in architecture or relevant technologies are advantageous.
  • Education: Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline is essential.
  • Minimum of 12 years designing regulated financial systems; ensures architecture compliance and Genio alignment.
  • Proven experience working within the banking and finance sector or similarly regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale technology solutions and managing complex projects.
  • Experience working in an agile environment is highly desirable.
