Media Strategist & Performance Lead
(Primary Role)
Position Overview
The Media Strategist & Performance Lead is responsible for media strategy, performance accountability, and ROI outcomes across all paid digital campaigns. This role owns planning, channel strategy, performance direction, and reporting insights, while guiding execution through the Media Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
Develop and own multi-channel paid media strategies (social, search, display, video).
Define campaign objectives, KPIs, audience strategy, and budget allocation.
Translate business goals into measurable media plans.
Performance & Optimisation Direction
Own overall performance outcomes, ROI, and efficiency.
Analyse performance data and define optimisation strategies.
Make strategic decisions on scaling, pausing, or reallocating spend.
Tracking & Measurement
Oversee pixel implementation, event tracking, and conversion setup.
Ensure accurate attribution, tracking integrity, and data quality.
Interpret GA4 and platform data into actionable insights.
Reporting & Insights
Deliver clear performance reporting and strategic insights to stakeholders.
Identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
Ensure reporting focuses on outcomes, not vanity metrics.
Collaboration & Leadership
Work closely with creative, data, and account teams to ensure alignment.
Provide direction and feedback to the Media Specialist.
Stay ahead of platform changes, algorithm updates, and industry trends.
Requirements
Degree or diploma in Marketing, Digital Media, or related field.
5+ years experience in paid media strategy and performance management.
Advanced proficiency in Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, GA4, Looker Studio.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Proven experience driving ROI and scaling campaigns.
Experience with marketing automation and CRM integrations.
Solid understanding of SEO/SEM principles.
