Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their finance team.

As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate vendor records, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and supporting the finance team with month-end activities.

This role is based in Melrose, Johannesburg North.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and verify supplier invoices, credit notes, and expense claims.
• Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes for accuracy.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in the accounting system.
• Prepare and execute payments via EFT, cheque, or other approved methods.
• Respond to supplier queries and maintain positive working relationships.
• Assist with month-end close and reporting tasks.
• Ensure all documentation is properly filed and easily accessible.
• Adhere to company financial policies and internal control procedures.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• National Diploma in Accounting
• 2–3 years’ experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role.
• Strong computer literacy, particularly in Excel and accounting systems.
• Sound understanding of accounts payable processes and reconciliations.

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Diploma in Accounting or Finance (advantageous)
1 – 3 years’ experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Strong verbal and written communication skills
