Job Summary
This AWS Cloud Architect – Migration Specialist role offers a unique chance to lead the migration of on-prem infrastructure, apps and services to the cloud (AWS).
This supports the cloud transformation strategy through migration, operational excellence and adherence to best practices.
It involves:
- Plan, Design and Lead the Migration process.
- Assessing the current on-prem infrastructure and strategize how to migrate it.
- Defining and implementing Workflows, tools and methodologies.
- Risk Management
- Optimization of performance, scalability, and cost efficiency (Using AWS CloudWatch for reliability and security)
- Cloud Architecture Design using AWS Services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) for solutioning.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership (Partner with business stakeholders and Lead the Migration Process).
Education:
- A Degree in Computer Science, Information systems / IT.
- Certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect: Professional (required) and other relevant AWS certifications (preferred).
Essential
Requirements:
- +5 years of experience in AWS Cloud Architecture and Migrations.
- Experience in Leading end-to-end (Assessing, Planning and Execution) Migration projects.
- Strong understanding of how AWS Services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) are applied in Migration.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
- AWS migration services (AWS Migration Hub, AWS Application Migration Service, and AWS Database Migration Service.)
- Orchestration and Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
