Job Description
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations across Debtors, Creditors, Cashbook and GL.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end close, reconciliations, and journals.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis, operational reporting, and performance tracking.
- Partner with operations, logistics, warehouses, or branches to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance at operational level.
- Support stock management, stock counts, cost control and margin analysis.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and short-term financial planning.
- Lead, guide and mentor finance teams to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Implement process improvements, system enhancements, and automation where possible.
- Review and authorise payments, supplier reconciliations, and operational spend.
- Prepare audit packs and engage with internal/external auditors.
- BCom Accounting / Finance (essential).
- CA(SA) or strong commercial Finance Manager background.
- 5–10 years’ experience in operational finance environments (FMCG, logistics, manufacturing, services, distribution ideal).
- Strong understanding of controls, reconciliations, compliance, and high-volume processing.
- Solid ERP system experience and advanced Excel skills.
- Confident, steady communicator with the ability to engage operational teams at all levels.
- Comfortable managing multiple sites, branches or regions.
- Hands-on, detail-focused and solutions-driven.
