Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and complete project financial records, ensuring costs and revenue are properly accounted for.
• Prepare monthly project financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports.
• Support the development of budgets and forecasts, monitoring project spend and funding utilisation.
• Manage project cash flows, including capital drawdowns and funding requirements.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal policies, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, finance teams, and external stakeholders to provide financial insights and support audits.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (essential).
• 3–5 years’ experience in project finance or accounting, ideally in renewable energy, infrastructure, or capital project environments.
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and funding arrangements preferred.

As a Project Finance Accountant, you’ll take ownership of financial management, reporting, and compliance across multiple renewable energy projects. Working closely with project managers, the finance team, and external partners, you’ll ensure financial integrity, accurate reporting, and strategic insight throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Accounting & Reporting

• Maintain accurate and detailed project cost records.
• Prepare monthly project financial statements and reports.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assist in budget development and forecasting.
• Analyse variances and report on financial performance.

Revenue & Cost Recognition

• Apply appropriate accounting treatment for project revenue and costs.
• Ensure alignment with agreements and IFRS standards.

Cash Flow & Funding Management

• Monitor project cash flow, capital drawdowns, and funding needs.
• Liaise with treasury and project managers for timely execution.

Compliance & Audit

• Support internal/external audits with project financial data.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and local statutory requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as the financial point of contact for project teams and external partners.
• Provide financial insights to guide decision-making and mitigate risk.

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Completed Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CIMA, ACCA, or similar professional qualification (advantageous)
3–5 years’ experience in project accounting or finance
Exposure to capital projects in renewable energy, infrastructure, or construction sectors
Strong understanding of project financing, funding agreements, and reporting standards
