Our client is a leading logistics and distribution business known for its efficiency, operational excellence, and commitment to delivering results. You will form part of a driven, hands-on finance team that supports critical business operations. This role calls for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can add value from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full bookkeeping function up to trial balance
• Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Managing bank reconciliations, cashbook entries, and journal postings
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns and assisting with SARS queries
• Supporting month-end processes and assisting with management accounts
• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with company procedures
• Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve finance-related queries

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Matric essential; a Bookkeeping or Accounting Diploma advantageous
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Experience within the logistics, transport, or distribution sector preferred
• Strong knowledge of general ledger, reconciliations, and VAT
• Proficient in accounting systems such as Pastel, Sage, or QuickBooks
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
• Immediate availability is essential
