Online Computing Year 8 & 9, ICT, CPSC and IT teacher
This is a full-time 5 days a week position

They are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic IT Teacher

The ideal candidate will have experience will be responsible for guiding students through engaging learning opportunities, delivering the required curriculum, and fostering a positive online classroom environment.

Key Requirements
MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint
Scratch
Basic Python
Basic HTML
Optional – The work can be taught in other programs: Animations – Blender; Vector Graphics – Inkscape; Mobile app development – App lab from Code.org; Physical Computing – microbit.org

ICT
MS OFFICE SUITE
word processing (includes mail merge)
database management (includes relational databases)
spreadsheet (formulas taught are basic)
web authoring (HTML – can use WYSIWYG text editor like Brackets or Sublime Text – focus is on outcome not coding)
presentation (multimedia) (using master slide)
graphics (can be done in Powerpoint)

COMPUTER SCIENCE (IGCSE)
PYTHON (Should have programmed in Python) (or if JAVA or DELPHI will be able to learn the PYTHON)
The Theory is more in depth than ICT.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (AS LEVEL)
HTML (Visual Studio Code – the coding is the focus )
CSS
Javascript
Database
Understand the structure of a relational database:
a. tables
b. primary keys
c. foreign keys
d. composite keys
e. records
f. fields.

Understand concept of entities and relational databases, interpret and create entity relationship diagrams
SQL
a. perform queries and subqueries
b. create tables using appropriate data types
c. populate tables/insert, amend, delete
d. link tables (UNION, JOIN)
e. use wildcards (% and _)
f. group, order, count.)
Create Flowcharts, dataflow diagrams

Key

Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons to students in an online format.
Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that leverage technology to enhance learning.
Create and manage online course materials, including lesson plans, assignments and assessments.
Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback and support to ensure academic success.
Facilitate interactive and collaborative learning experiences through virtual platforms.
Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in education and online teaching methodologies.
Maintain regular communication with students, parents, and colleagues to support student learning and wellbeing.
Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:
Bachelor`s degree or undergrad with relevant PGCE
SACE registration is essential

Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Innovative and adaptable to changes in the curriculum and teaching methods
