Job Description:
Our Client is seeking an experienced and motivated Solar Project Manager to oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of commercial and/or residential solar energy projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar energy systems, project management, and team coordination. This role is pivotal in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with all safety and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end management of solar PV projects, from initial planning to commissioning and handover, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance on electrical systems, designs, and installations for solar PV projects, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Budget & Schedule Management: Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring milestones are met and costs are controlled.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all projects comply with local regulations, industry standards, and safety protocols.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to prevent project delays or issues.
Requirements:
- Professional Registration with SACPCMP as Pr.PM or candidate
- Bachelor’s Degree: Electrical Engineering (or related field)
- 3+ Years Solar experience (managing commercial and industrial/utility projects)
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems and electrical engineering principles
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent inter-personal communication skills, experience working with contractors.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic problem-solving environment.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Completing any tasks assigned by the COO in an efficient and timely manner.
