Job Summary

Requirements:

Matric Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) 2-year Diploma/Certificate qualification in administration or similar (NQF Level 5) (Please attach all qualifications) Maths as a subject is a must 2-3 years horse racing and sports betting experience is essential Audit and product knowledge and experience will be beneficial Research and auditing principles and knowledge Strong knowledge of sports betting markets, odds compilation and risk management practices Knowledge of Company policies and procedures application to the specific work environment to ensure work outcomes Ability to conduct a systematic check or assessment on efficiency or effectiveness of Betting process Above average ability, to be methodical and accurate while paying attention to detail Ability to collect all relevant information, identify key issues/relationships from the information base Ability to relate and compare data from different sources to audit and assess information before making decisions Ability to set high standards of work performance for self Microsoft experience essential with Advanced Excel abilities Highly ethical and compliant on Company processes and policies Ability to execute outputs with exactness and precision thereby eliminating errors Self-motivated and able to work under pressure Reliable and resilient, self-starter, ability to act independently and start processes without any external motivation Key Tasks: Ensure audit pre- and post-race day procedures by processing wagering definition sheets are correct Ensure first timers are considered Audit exchange rates to ensure it is set correctly Perform updates on control sheet race time runs-owns, scratchings, 1 st timers and races with SA Pools Ensure that Carryovers are recorded, distributed and added to the relevant pools Audit Betting pools to ensure pools are closed at scheduled/authorised time Responsible for the maintenance on filing and back ups Ensure scratchings, late scratchings, non-runners and disqualifications are considered correctly Ensure the correct race and results are declared Provide the correct number of bets and winning tickets are determined Ensure audit local and international partner relations Ensure commissions are correct and pools are closed at correct times Responsible to ensure results are verified and correct before going official Apply appropriate rule and policies both local and international sporting and racing events Perform audits on no shows, withdrawals and/or disqualifications are taken in account Assist with adhoc duties as per operational requirements NB.
