About the Role

The Receiving Team Leader position at Tailormade Solution in Wadeville, Germiston requires a skilled and experienced professional to oversee the receipt of goods, manage stock levels, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving & Inspection:
  • Supervise the receipt of goods, ensuring they match purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Inspect incoming stock for quality, quantity, and damage.
  • Report any discrepancies or damaged goods to management promptly.
  • Stock Management:
  • Ensure accurate recording and labelling of stock in the warehouse system.
  • Maintain organized and efficient storage of products.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or excesses to relevant departments.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure all warehouse activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Coordination & Reporting:
  • Prepare daily/weekly receiving reports.
  • Assist in resolving issues with suppliers or logistics partners.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to improve receiving processes, reduce errors, and increase efficiency.
  • Implement and monitor best practices within the department.

Requirements

  • Minimum Matric/Grade 12
  • Logistics or supply chain qualification is an advantage.
  • 23 years of experience in warehouse receiving or logistics supervision
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse procedures.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Office, inventory systems).
  • Must be criminally clear.
