About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Regional Financial Manager to oversee financial operations across eight branches in a given territory, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and supporting strategic business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire region’s financial operations, including the general ledger, cashbook, creditors, and debtors.
- Create and examine variance analysis, flash results, and monthly management accounts.
- Ensure accurate and timely year-end and month-end close procedures.
- Examine balance sheets and income statements, offering analysis and insights.
- Audit and Compliance: ensure adherence to legal requirements such as income tax, VAT, PAYE, etc.
- Oversee internal audits and assess branch adherence to internal control initiatives.
- Create year-end audit packs and communicate with outside auditors.
- Oversee the preparation and evaluation of payroll.
- Approve bank account payments.
- Attend branch stock takes and perform monthly stock/inventory reconciliations.
- Perform monthly evaluations of debtors.
- Provide financial advice and training to branch administrative workers.
- Conduct audits and reviews at branches.
- Prepare reports and analyses as requested by senior management.
Requirements
- CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 5 years in financial management, preferably in a regional or multi-branch environment.
- Strong exposure to compliance, audits, and operational finance.
