Job Summary

ENVIRONMENT: COMBINE strategic vision with empathetic leadership, driving business growth through data analysis to develop solid strategies that enable reaching sales and profitability targets as the next Regional Sales Manager sought for the Joburg division of a dynamic Eye Care Specialist. You will be responsible for the direct management of stores in the assigned area, ensuring the effective implementation of strategic initiatives and promoting a high-performance, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate must have relevant qualification and retail experience, not necessarily eyewear but fashion/luxury/high end or established retailer experience. You need to be energetic, proactive, professional & have great communication skills with the ability to motivate teams. You must have good numerical and analytical skills (works with numbers, KPI“s, reports etc every day) and people management experience. Ideally someone with personal drive who is ambitious “hungry” to grow and join a global luxury retailer. DUTIES: Customer Care Ensure that all store teams provide exceptional customer service by applying the sales techniques. Ensure that all store teams are aware of and understand fashion trends, retail, and competition to offer the best possible customer experience. Responsible for ensuring that all store teams respond to and manage customer phone inquiries according to the companys standards. Ensure that all store teams effectively and professionally handle all customer inquiries and objections. Responsible for ensuring that all store teams actively build relationships with customers to ensure they return to the store, fostering customer loyalty. Responsible for achieving good results in Mystery Shopper assessments for stores in their area. Sales – Responsible for achieving the target and annual sales of all stores in their area. Meet regularly with their Head of Sales to analyse individual and store sales objectives, review sales performance, and offer action plans. Responsible for ensuring that all store teams work harmoniously with other team members, ensuring the achievement of individual and store sales. Ensure that all store teams use the front door, applying the brand storytelling to connect with the customer. Ensure that their staff has the proper training on procedures, sales policies, and returns. Guarantee that all store teams consistently use complementary and cross-selling techniques to provide an extraordinary shopping experience. Responsible for ensuring that all store teams complete sales transactions, asking the right questions and making appropriate product recommendations to identify customer needs. Guarantee that all store teams use Smartshopper as a sales tool in the store. Ensure that all store teams are responsible for maintaining a high level of post-sale quality. Human Resources – Responsible for ensuring that all store teams always present a good image and adhere to the dress code to represent the company. Ensure that all store teams are familiar with, apply, and share corporate values. Responsible for ensuring that all store teams comply with all human resources processes (timekeeping, punctuality, schedules, vacations, etc.). Organize and ensure proper management of SAP and incident handling, both weekly and monthly (new hires, terminations, timekeeping, etc.). Responsible for communicating to the Regional and Field Managers any work-related activities (leave of absence, reduced hours, etc.). Ensure that all store teams create and manage schedules to optimize staffing based on peak hours. Is responsible for passing on to the Regional and Field Managers any doubts regarding payroll and informing the store team. Ensure that all store teams adhere to company policies and the collective labour agreement. Ensure that all store teams show respect towards customers and colleagues and maintain effective communication. Is always available for additional tasks and cooperates on tasks that go beyond their role. Identify the potential in each team member and facilitate their development with Human Resources. Responsible for onboarding and training team members through corporate tools (121, OnePerformance, etc.) and ensure all Store Managers do the same. Set both qualitative and quantitative objectives for the team, defining and validating the means to be used. Organize and oversee the implementation of team training, according to company policies and procedures. Commit to ensuring the Succession Plan for their area. Is responsible for ensuring that all store teams welcome diversity and inclusion and are culturally aware. Provide requested reports and information to the Field Manager within the required timeframe. Proactively recruit and retain great people in line with regional requirements. Share key learnings and best practices with store teams. Communicate company directives to the team in an effective and timely manner. Ensure compliance with the company“s expense policy within the specified timeframe. Leonardo Virtual Training Platform – Ensure that all store teams use the Leonardo platform to proactively acquire knowledge when sales allow, with the goal of enhancing the customer shopping experience. Responsible for ensuring that all store teams complete the Virtual Classrooms and mandatory monthly courses for their professional development within the timeframe set by the company. Store Operations Ensure that all store teams always use the company“s communication tool (Smartly) during their work shift. Responsible for ensuring that all members of the store teams are familiar with the products displayed in-store and in the warehouse and ensure their proper care. Guarantee that all store teams contribute to the correct replenishment of products in-store. Ensure that all store teams maintain proper order of the products in the warehouse. Is responsible for ensuring that all store teams properly manage damaged products according to company standards. Ensure that all store members use Smartshopper and correctly follow online orders and delivery to the customer. Participate in corporate meetings (Business Review, Monday -PitStop Calls, etc.). Use Smartly to plan and visit all stores in their area. Asset Protection – Ensure that all store team members perform the daily stock count according to the standard and upload the results to CAMS. Is responsible for ensuring that all store managers process product receipts correctly according to company standards. Ensure that all store managers respond to stock discrepancies or investigations related to them, as advised by Asset Protection. Guarantee that all store managers follow the company procedures to minimize stock loss and ensure proper stock storage according to company standards. Ensure that transfers to other stores are correctly carried out. Guarantee that all store teams are familiar with corporate tools for stock control. Responsible for ensuring that all store managers ensure the correct stock of consumables for the proper functioning of the store. Responsible for ensuring that the inventory process in the stores is carried out correctly according to company standards. Ensure that all store teams are familiar with and ensure the cash handling procedure when necessary (opening, closing, returns, exchanges). Responsible for ensuring that all store managers ensure that all returns are processed on time, according to the company“s policies and procedures. Guarantee that all store managers control and are responsible for the revenue and cash collection. Is responsible for communicating any anomalies and/or malpractice regarding non-compliance with the processes established by the company. Product Is responsible for ensuring that all store members are aware of the Best Sellers, use them during the sales process, ensuring their correct replenishment and display. Promote the new store product launches to customers and shares them with the store team. Is responsible for ensuring that all store teams are familiar with the products, brands, collections, families, colours, materials, and calibres. Ensure that all store teams understand the care of our products (glasses, accessories, etc.). Marketing Ensure that all store teams adhere to the companys image standards, ensuring the store is properly cleaned, the background music is played, and the product is correctly displayed. Guarantee that all store members apply the Brand Flow guidelines established by the company. Ensure that all teams follow the companys Visual Merchandising guidelines in the store. Ensure that all store members use the correct signage (promotions, sales, brand images, etc.) following the guidelines set by the company. Maintenance – Responsible for ensuring health and safety (HSE) compliance within the stores. Guarantee that all team members contribute to the proper functioning and cleanliness of the common areas. Is responsible for reporting any maintenance issues within the store. Ensure the proper functioning of technological tools (monitor, printer, etc.), contacts and actively follow up on their management in case of issues.
