The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following skill sets: A proactive fundraiser who is skilled at identifying, researching, and engaging high-potential funding prospects, as well as building strong relationships that open doors to new opportunities. A proven track record of securing funding or business in line with ambitious revenue targets – candidates must be able to demonstrate how their efforts contributed to meeting targets comparable to the LRCs current R50 million target. 3 5 years of relevant fundraising experience or a background in sales/marketing with transferable skills. Experienced in managing the full funding application process, from opportunity alignment to developing and submitting high-quality concept notes, proposals, and budgets in collaboration with internal teams. Proficient in coordinating donor reporting and overseeing grant closeout processes, ensuring compliance, timely submissions, and audit readiness. Holds a relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Sales & Marketing, Communication, BCom).
