Roles and Responsibilities
Role:
This is a full-time role for a Sales Engineer based in Bedfordview, Johannesburg. We are looking for a Sales Engineer that will be responsible for providing technical support, communication with customers, sales activities, and ensuring excellent customer service on a day-to-day basis.
 
Job Description:
Accountable for Geographic & Industrial Sales Development and business opportunity growth of the Turck Banner product portfolio.
Manage complex sales processes, diligently develop pipeline and healthy opportunities, prepare and conduct sales presentations, engaging effectively to all focus customers.
Key Account Development: work closely with Team Leader(s) to establish and implement account plan and strategy.
Acquire the needed technical competency to hold at least preliminary technical presentations and discussions with customers.
Effective management of existing customer accounts and the generation of new revenue through prospecting,
lead/funnel follow-up, and effective territory management in a broad base of industries and applications using company structured KPI’s.
Administrative Responsibilities: preparation of quotes, CRM management and territory reporting on a regular basis.
Plan and conduct sales visits to targeted customers on regular basis to build visibility. Review and update progression of these visits with Team Leader(s) on a weekly basis.
Perform any other relevant duties as and when assigned by the Team Leader(s).

Ability to work independently and responsibly within a small team
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
 
Requirements:
The candidate should provide the following when applying for this position:
Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or relevant qualifications
At least 2-3 years’ experience in technical sales of industrial automation
Valid driver’s license
