About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Sales Person to join our team in Johannesburg, responsible for driving direct sales of 6-axis industrial robots and associated automation products from our standard catalogue range. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding, commercial acumen, and customer-facing expertise within industrial automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell 6-axis catalogue-based robots and associated equipment.
- Develop and execute a territory sales plan aligned to company targets.
- Identify, qualify, and secure new customers across manufacturing, automotive, FMCG, packaging, engineering, and industrial sectors.
- Conduct on-site customer needs analysis to recommend appropriate robot models and configurations.
- Drive end-to-end sales cycles from enquiry to closing orders.
- Maintain regular contact with existing customers to ensure repeat business.
- Manage key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term relationships.
- Provide pre- and post-sale technical support (with engineering team).
- Prepare and deliver professional client presentations, demonstrations, and ROI proposals.
- Develop a strong understanding of 6-axis robot specifications, catalogue options, payloads, reach, cycle times, and controller features.
- Work closely with internal technical teams for configuration and solution matching.
- Stay up to date with new product releases, updates, and automation trends.
Requirements
- National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.
- Additional sales, automation, or robotics training is advantageous.

Salary & Benefits
- Basic salary: R35 000 to R50 000 per annum (market-related based on experience).
