About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team in Johannesburg. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering complex, cross-functional projects in an Agile/Scrum setting. You will work closely with stakeholders to navigate ambiguity and drive consensus. Your exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills will enable you to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from initiation to delivery
  • Write reports and provide insights to stakeholders
  • Lead meetings and facilitate collaboration among team members
  • Develop user-story maps, process models, and wireframing tools
  • Integrate APIs, perform data mapping, and analyze system architecture concepts

Requirements

  • 4 years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst in a technology-driven environment
  • 2 years specifically within fintech, mobile money, or financial services
  • Proficiency with JIRA (or equivalent Agile tools)
  • Experience with user-story mapping, process modeling, and wireframing tools
  • Familiarity with API integrations, data mapping, and system architecture concepts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or related field
  • CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA Agile/Scrum certification (e.g., CSM, PSM)

Job Description

Qualifications and Experience Bachelors degree in Business Analysis, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum of 57 years experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years in a senior role. Proven experience in end-to-end business analysis in complex environments. Strong experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration. Strong experience in both Agile and Waterfall environments Proficient in process mapping using BPMN 2.0 methodology Experience in the mining industry. Understanding of mining value chains, operational systems, and safety-critical applications. Enterprise Asset Management (EAM): Demonstrated knowledge of the full asset lifecycle including acquisition, commissioning, maintenance, optimisation, and disposal with familiarity in supporting or implementing EAM systems to enhance reliability, compliance, and performance. Financial and Procurement Awareness: Working knowledge of the financial and commercial dimensions of asset management, including Capex and Opex considerations, as well as integration of procurement and supply chain processes into asset lifecycles Key Responsibilities: Lead and drive the business analysis process for strategic and operational initiatives. Elicit, document, and manage business, functional, and non-functional requirements. Translate business requirements into clear, detailed specifications for technical teams. Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews to define and prioritise business needs. Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, solution architects and QA teams throughout the project lifecycle. Support user acceptance testing and change management processes. Analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
