About the Role
Our client, Telebest, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Credit Manager to join their team in Sandton. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert credit management services to support the company’s growth and expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in Due Diligence investigations with SBUs & Regional Offices, provide advice on risks to be assumed, mitigate factors and assess viability of projects.
- Assist in risk identification and mitigation, ensuring compliance to credit policy and spreading of financials.
- Provide input into the review and enhancement of the IDC Credit & Investment Template as required.
- Facilitate constructive working relations and healthy working morale between the credit risk department and relevant SBUs.
- Identify and mitigate project and counterparty risks.
- Attend and participate in client or deal structuring meetings prior to DDF and provide advisory credit and structuring services on potential transactions after being cleared for any potential conflict of interest.
- Work with the deal team, including the Legal department, to ensure deal closure post Committee approval and support on applications requiring waivers of approved credit & investment terms when required.
- Perform credit checks and deed searches on prospective and existing clients.
Requirements
- CA or BCom post graduate qualification.
- MBA would be advantageous.
- 8 to 10 years experience in a financial institution, 5 years of which must be in the Credit Risk space.
- Knowledge and understanding of credit risk and any associated risks prevalent in the financing of transactions/projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
