Job Description

Join a specialist financial risk management team known for its technical depth, analytical rigor, and commitment to developing industry‑leading credit risk solutions. This division comprises of a diverse group of modellers and analysts with backgrounds in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, engineering, and quantitative finance. As a Senior Credit Risk Consultant , you will play a pivotal technical role in the development, validation, and auditing of credit risk models, including IFRS9 models, scorecards, and regulatory capital models. You will also contribute to the coaching and upskilling of junior staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and technical excellence. You will gain exposure to a wide spectrum of modelling environmentsfrom local niche lenders to global financial institutionsand work with cutting‑edge technologies, such as Python, R, and SAS, to support model development and automation initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Develop and review credit risk models used for provisioning and regulatory capital calculations. Assist with coding, automating, and enhancing financial risk management models. Job Experience and Skills Required: Education: Honours or Masters degree in a quantitative discipline (Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Engineering, or equivalent). Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in a quantitative credit risk role. Exposure to developing or auditing credit risk models (IFRS9, scorecards, and regulatory models). Some experience coaching, mentoring, or supervising junior staff is advantageous. Skills: Understanding of contemporary statistical techniques and credit risk modelling practices. Ability to read, interpret, and write code in SAS, Python, or R . Strong organisational and time‑management capabilities, with the ability to meet deadlines in high‑pressure environments. Resilient, self‑driven, and collaborative team player. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain quantitative concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
