Job Summary
Location: Rivonia, JHB, GP
The Senior Investment Analyst will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis on potential investment opportunities across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, and alternative investments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, risk management, and market research.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on potential investment opportunities, including company financials, industry trends, and macroeconomic factors
- Develop financial models and valuations to assess the potential return and risk of investments
- Monitor and evaluate market trends to identify investment opportunities and risks
- Prepare investment recommendations and present findings to senior management
- Collaborate with portfolio managers and traders to execute investment strategies
- Stay current on market developments and regulatory changes that may impact investment decisions
- Mentor junior analysts and guide research methodologies and best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor`s or Master`s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
- CFA Level I minimum, progress towards CFA Level II preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment analysis or related field
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of investment principles, asset classes, and market dynamics
