About the Role

The Market Risk Senior Manager role sits within a leading Financial Risk Management practice focused on strengthening the safety, stability, and performance of financial institutions. The team supports clients across market risk, liquidity risk, counterparty credit risk, capital markets, and regulatory compliance. As a key member of this team, you will work closely with senior leadership to deliver high-quality advisory and reporting solutions to banking and financial services clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality market risk advisory and reporting services to banking and financial services clients
  • Prepare and review reports covering market risk, counterparty credit risk, interest rate risk in the banking book, and liquidity risk
  • Lead quantitative financial risk management engagements across foreign exchange, interest rate, credit, and commodity risks
  • Act as a subject matter expert in areas such as quantitative risk modeling, hedge accounting, derivative valuation, or IFRS-related financial instruments
  • Lead and manage teams on advisory and audit-assist engagements, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback
  • Collaborate locally and internationally to identify and support new business and growth opportunities
  • Contribute thought leadership and research on developments in the financial and capital markets landscape

Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Finance, Quantitative Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Advanced or professional qualifications will be advantageous
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years relevant experience within market risk, financial risk management, advisory services, or project management
  • Experience within a consulting environment, financial institution, or regulatory body (banking exposure preferred)
  • Strong understanding of capital markets processes, including trading, risk management, credit, settlement, and operations
