Johannesburg: Senior IT Auditor (Remote)

In this role, youll plan, execute, and report on IT audits across a diverse group of entities-ensuring that IT risks are identified, controls are robust, and information assets are safeguarded. Youll play a key role in enhancing IT governance, cybersecurity, and data integrity across the business. Key responsibilities: Lead and perform risk-based IT audits on infrastructure, applications, and data processes Assess IT general controls, cybersecurity, and vendor risk management practices Evaluate system access, change management, and disaster recovery controls Prepare insightful audit reports and present recommendations to senior management Monitor action plans and follow-up on remediation progress Stay current with emerging IT trends, frameworks, and threats Qualifications & Experience Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field 6 (minimum) 8 (ideal) years experience in IT auditing CISA certification required Solid understanding of IT frameworks (COBIT, NIST, ISO) Strong grasp of ITGCs, cybersecurity, networks, databases, and cloud environments Experience with audit tools (TeamMate, Galvanize, IDEA) and data analytics beneficial AI audit experience advantageous Analytical, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy Confident communicator with the ability to simplify complex IT concepts Strong stakeholder manager with high integrity and professional scepticism Independent yet collaborative, with solid time management and multitasking skills Apply now!
