About the Role
As the Process Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing bids and tenders, engaging with clients, conducting test work, and developing process designs. The role involves close collaboration with clients, sales, and project teams to ensure accurate process solutions from proposal stage through to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare bids and tenders for clients, forming a core part of the role.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Respond to client enquiries and assess technical requirements.
- Conduct test work and evaluate results.
- Develop process flow sheets and piping & instrumentation diagrams.
- Advise clients on process improvements and optimisation.
- Perform process design of required equipment.
- Follow up on submissions and resolve technical or scope changes.
- Process orders received and hand over to the projects team.
- Assist with and participate in commissioning activities.
- Complete general administrative duties related to the role.
Requirements
- B.Eng in chemical engineering.
- Minimum five years’ experience working with similar process equipment.
- Solid understanding of process engineering and metallurgical processes.
- Strong knowledge of flow sheets and instrumentation diagrams.
- Good understanding of project management and execution.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and selling skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
