About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Store Manager to lead daily sales and operational activities within a busy retail and warehouse environment. The successful candidate will lead from the front, actively assisting customers, driving sales, managing stock, supervising staff, and ensuring the smooth and profitable running of the store and related operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive daily and monthly sales targets
- Provide professional, friendly service to all walk-in customers
- Lead by example by actively selling on the floor
- Upsell and cross-sell products
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business
- Handle customer queries and complaints professionally
- Monitor pricing and promotional activities
- Prepare and oversee order processing, wrapping, and dispatch
- Ensure accurate cash handling, daily cash-ups, and reconciliations
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in retail or store management
- Proven sales and customer service experience
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Stock control and inventory management experience
- Valid drivers license
- Own reliable transport
- Physically fit (standing, walking, lifting as required)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic business systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
- Matric (Mathematics and English preferred)
