Responsibilities:
Conduct Land Surveys: Perform detailed land surveys to determine boundaries, angles, and distances using advanced surveying equipment and technology. Legal & Boundary Verification: Analyze historical data and legal boundary lines to ensure that land boundaries are accurately defined for project development. Topographical Mapping & Data Collection: Gather and interpret topographical data to support infrastructure design and implementation. Site Supervision & Compliance: Oversee site supervision to ensure compliance with survey specifications, safety regulations, and project requirements. Data Analysis & Reporting: Create detailed and accurate reports, including boundary certificates, survey plans, and technical documentation for project planning and execution. Design & Project Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure that survey data aligns with project designs. Client Interface & Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with clients and project stakeholders to provide updates and ensure alignment on project specifications. Project Implementation & Quality Control: Monitor and control survey activities to ensure that all project milestones are met with precision. Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to Health & Safety standards, ensuring that survey work is conducted safely and efficiently. Minimum
Requirements:
Qualifications: Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Surveying or a related field. Registered as a Professional Surveyor, Technologist Surveyor, or Technician Surveyor . Registered with the South African Geomatics Council (SAGC) or equivalent professional body. Registered with Environmental Assessment Practitioners of South Africa (EAPASA) or equivalent. Experience & Skills: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in land surveying, boundary analysis, and project implementation. Proficiency in using AutoCAD and MS Project for designing, analyzing, and managing survey data. Exposure to client interfacing, project planning, and financial controls . Strong knowledge of municipal infrastructure funding models and National Roads services. Exceptional conflict resolution, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to prepare detailed technical reports. Added Advantage: Experience dealing with National Roads Services and working on large-scale infrastructure projects. Successful experience in proposal writing, marketing, and public presentations .
