About the Role
Hire Resolve is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Advisor to join our client team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert tax advice to our clients, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and maximizing tax efficiency for individuals and businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file tax returns for individuals, companies, and trusts (including VAT, PAYE, and provisional tax).
- Assist in preparing tax computations and reconciliations.
- Conduct basic tax research and assist with drafting client advice under guidance.
- Communicate with SARS regarding queries, verifications, and assessments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and correspondence logs.
- Support the senior team with tax planning projects and client presentations.
- Monitor client deadlines and compliance status.
- Liaise with accounting and audit teams to gather relevant tax data.
- Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and SARS practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field (required).
- 13 years of tax-related experience in a professional services or corporate environment.
- Experience with SARS eFiling, e@syFile, and tax compliance software is advantageous.
