About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining quotes during tendering and execution of the project, negotiating better prices with suppliers, and ensuring that items are delivered on time in line with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Obtain quotes during tendering and execution of the project
Negotiate better prices with suppliers
Source new suppliers and present to management
Generate and timely update of the mini procurement schedule
Follow up on outstanding supplier orders
Ensure items are delivered on time in line with project requirements
Order items within budget
Ensure right items are ordered in line with specifications
Update project engineers and managers of potential delays and propose mitigation plans
Assist with rating of suppliers
Attend project meetings to provide feedback on procurement
Generate a monthly report on supplier challenges and suggest improvements
Order for sister companies (Bulkmatic, Rotatech, ICTech and Techmatic Engineering) when required
Verify supplies for dispatch

Requirements

Relevant Diploma in Supply Chain, Procurement, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
4-5 years experience in buying in engineering industry
