About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our Product team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications through automation testing. With 4-6 years of experience in test automation, QA, and management, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality products that meet our customers’ needs.

Key Responsibilities

Understand and manage project scope, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
Participate in planning and prioritisation of requirements with key stakeholders.
Analyse existing processes and data flows, and design improved or new business processes.
Prepare user stories, functional specifications, and prototype mock-ups for new services and enhancements.
Identify constraints and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design optimal solutions within agreed parameters.
Perform feature sign-off on behalf of the Product team following delivery.
Develop test cases and support testing activities, documenting results and findings.
Produce clear functional, technical, and user documentation.
Challenge requirements and specifications constructively to ensure accuracy and feasibility.

Requirements

BSc Information Science Degree
ISTQB Certification
4 – 6 years of experience in test automation, QA, and management
Technical Knowledge in OOP, Python/C# development, Nodejs, API Testing (restassured/postman/SoapUI), performance testing – Jmeter
Familiarity with GitHub, BDD and TDD, Jira, Confluence
