About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring that business requirements are accurately translated into functional and non-functional specifications, and that system solutions meet the needs of our stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders to gather, validate, and document business requirements
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and process analysis to understand business needs
- Translate requirements into clear functional and non-functional specifications
- Develop Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process flows
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to design effective system solutions
- Ensure traceability between requirements, solutions, and testing outcomes
- Support project planning, scope definition, and delivery milestones
- Participate in system testing, UAT coordination, and end-user training
- Assist with change management and post-implementation reviews
- Identify opportunities for process optimisation, automation, and digital transformation
- Evaluate technologies and recommend improvements aligned with business goals
- Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams
- Facilitate communication and ensure alignment on deliverables
- Provide regular updates and manage stakeholder expectations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field
- 35 years of experience as a Business Analyst within IT or digital projects
- Strong understanding of SDLC and project methodologies
- Experience with tools such as Microsoft DevOps, FreshService, SmartSheets
- Working knowledge of SAP ERP, Java, Python, or other enterprise platforms
