About the Role

As a Test Lead & Analyst within our banking and finance sector, you will be responsible for leading testing activities to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. This role combines leadership responsibilities with hands-on testing and analysis to support project objectives effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • SIT|UAT /Regression planning and execution
  • Develop and implement test strategies, plans, and schedules aligned with project goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, mentor and coordinate the activities of the testing team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of test cycles.
  • Analyse business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
  • Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and security.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate defect management tools, ensuring timely resolution and re-testing.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage and alignment with business objectives.
  • Report on test progress, metrics, risks, and issues to project leadership and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, and best practises throughout the testing process.
  • Support user acceptance testing by preparing test data, coordinating test execution, and providing guidance to end-users.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve testing methodologies and processes to enhance quality and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Relevant professional qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in test leadership and analysis within the banking and finance sector.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle and testing methodologies.
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, suitable for a range of audiences.

Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field is essential. Professional certification in software testing (such as ISTQB or equivalent) is highly desirable.
