Job Summary
Key
Responsibilities:
Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs on heavy machinery and rail systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, ensuring minimal downtime. Conduct routine inspections, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to execute engineering projects efficiently. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications. Assist in commissioning and testing of electrical systems in manufacturing and rail facilities. Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Qualifications and Skills: Trade Tested Electrical Engineer certification (completed within the past [timeframe]). Understanding of electrical systems in heavy manufacturing and/or rail environments. Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and best practices. Basic knowledge of PLCs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and automation systems (advantageous). Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic industrial environment. Must be: South African Trade Tested Electrician Matric or N3 Clear ID and Criminal Check You will be tested for Alcohol, Dagga and Drugs as this is not permitted on this type of site work
Requirements:
Willingness to work on a contract basis. Availability to work flexible hours, including shifts and overtime, when required. Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
