Essential requirements for this unique sales orientated trainee opportunity based in City Deep (close to Regents Park in the South of Johannesburg) – First and foremost it is pointless applying if you are not an early bird type and if you live too far away, and do not have your own transport as the working hours are also unque i.e., 5.00am / 5.30am to approxiately 2.00pm / generally Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday morning finishing at approximately 10.00 – 10.30am You would need to have good English (first language) communication skills and a sales orientated type personality It will take time to be trained into this one-of-a-kind role and therefore essential that there is genuine long-term interest You would need to be physical fit and prepared to be on your feet a fair amount of time and use a bit of physical strength at times to pick up items (the team at this time is an all-male one) Preferably a non-smoker Minimum education is Matric / Grade 12 Accurate, numerate, methodical and attention to detail The ability to deal with and communicate effectively with people Disposition to handle pressure and deal with stressful situations at times Ability to work independently Reliable and committed Ultimately you are to be trained by this organisation into their specific Sales Auctioneer role, the purpose of which is – To attend to all aspects / processes relating to this specialist type of sale of flowers operation i.e., grading flowers into the various quality categories, auctioning of flowers as well as various administrative functions in order to ensure that the selling process take place in the most efficient and effective manner and in accordance with determined quality standards.
