About the Role
Network Finance is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Credit Control Manager to support their credit function, lead a high-performance team, and contribute to strategic decision-making within a fast-paced Shared Services environment. Based in Johannesburg West Rand, this role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our client’s team.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and approve credit applications for new and existing customers within set company mandates.
- Prepare detailed reports on overdue accounts, risk exposure, and bad debt provisions.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new customers and provide leadership to the Key Accounts team.
- Drive account rehabilitation initiatives to reduce credit risk and ensure minimal exposure.
- Compile and submit month-end close-off reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct client visits to understand business requirements, resolve challenges, and strengthen relationships.
- Contribute to the development of credit strategies for high-risk accounts and key customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key account customers, ensuring service excellence and effective debt recovery.
- Monitor and manage service level agreements to ensure the timely collection of outstanding debt.
Requirements
- BCom Degree, Diploma in Credit Management, or Credit Management accreditation (ICM).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a credit control environment, preferably in a Team Leader or supervisory capacity, with exposure to corporate or key accounts.
- Solid understanding of credit and debt recovery legislation, including the NCA, CPA, liquidation processes, and business rescue procedures.
Qualifications
- Completed BCom Degree, Diploma in Credit Management, or Credit Management accreditation (ICM).
