Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end coordination of import shipments across the international transport chain
- Clearing, forwarding, and transport coordination of seafreight cargo
- Full administration and invoicing of shipment files
- Arranging insurance cover and managing claims where required
- Ensuring compliance with quality management systems and operational standards
- Providing guidance and support to Import Controllers and Learners
- Delivering consistent, high-level service in a demanding customer environment
Minimum Requirements
- 5–7 years recent import controlling experience within the Clearing & Forwarding industry
- Proven experience managing the full import process independently
- Matric (essential)
- Freight forwarding qualification (NQF Level 4 or 5 or equivalent – advantageous)
- Sound knowledge of ShipShape
- Strong understanding of seafreight operations and documentation
