Job Summary

Responsibilities:
Perform inspections and maintenance on winder systems, adhering to strict safety regulations and company standards. Respond to breakdowns, troubleshoot, and carry out necessary repairs while ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Oversee winder control and electrical systems, including compressors, shafts, and station control systems. Maintain and update electrical documentation, ensuring that all records align with maintenance schedules. Collaborate with team members to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant working environment. Minimum
Requirements:
Grade 12 or equivalent qualification. Electrical trade certificate with an MV Switching Certificate. Minimum of 7 years of experience as an electrician, with 5 years of winder maintenance experience. In-depth knowledge of BMR Winders, Double and Single Drum Winders, and relevant equipment. Familiarity with the Minerals Act regulations (Chapter 16). Skills and Competencies: Strong safety leadership and a proven track record in maintaining high safety standards. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient in winder electrical systems, fault-finding, and instrumentation installations. Experience in conducting legal inspections and maintaining compliance.
