Job Summary
The preferred candidate should have a Trade certificate and experience with products/heavy earth-moving equipment in a mining environment.
Qualifications:
- N3 or Grade 12 with Maths
- Trade Certificate
Experience:
- 4-6 years in the earthmoving industry
- 2 years of supervisory experience
- Machine Operator License (an advantage)
- Technical knowledge on the following:
- Haul trucks – 906EDT; 860EDT; 785 HDT; 830 EDT
- Electrical Rope Shovels – 2300 XPB; 2800 XPC-AC; 4100 XPC-AC
- Support Equipment – D375-A6 D475A-5 E0;
- Support Equipment – W1200-6; W800; WE2350; WA900
- Support Equipment – WD900; WA600; WD600; WA200; WA320
Specific Knowledge requirements:
- SAP Quoting – Advanced
- MS Excel – Intermediate
- Microsoft Word and PowerPoint – Intermediate
- CSS Portal KMG – Advanced
- EPQ Care – Advanced
- Komtrax – advanced
Summary description of the role:
- Remains up-to-date with safety procedures
- Plans for safety events and campaigns
- Takes SHE into account in the planning of work output
- Plans for inspection of equipment (new and used in stock), about dates, workshops, the nomination of service, stock, and other resources
- Collates all informative materials, Komtrax registration forms, warranties, and manuals
- Opens and maintains machine history file for each machine at a customer site
- Conducts delivery inspection of the machine
- Plans and prepares for anticipated service calls in conjunction with stakeholders (including RAMP Contracts)
- Plans for the modification of equipment
- Oversees warranty repairs that may be required at the site
- Provides technical advice & liaison with centralized functions in the Service and Repairs machines
- Plans for time to complete reporting
- Collates information, downloads, inspections, PM clinic & troubleshooting for use in reporting
- Compiles recommendations report to the Parts/Branch/Depot Manager for additional components, to meet the component change requirements
