About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and experienced driver to join our team in Kempton Park. As a key member of our logistics operation, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods, including hazardous materials, over various routes.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Tata trucks for local and/or long-distance deliveries
- Transport goods according to safety regulations
- Load and unload cargo when required
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain cleanliness and operational condition of the truck
- Report on mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately
- Keep accurate delivery notes, fuel logs, and trip sheets
- Follow company procedures and all road, traffic, and hazardous material regulations
Requirements
- Matric
- Valid Code 10 drivers license
- Valid Dangerous Goods (DG) permit
- Proven experience driving Tata trucks
- Ability to read maps, follow routes, and meet delivery schedules
