About the Role

Theodorah Ndaba Victim Support Centre is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Worker to join our team on a 4-month contract. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing support and empowerment to victims in our community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emotional and psychological support to victims of crime
• Facilitate victim empowerment programs and activities
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders to ensure effective support services
• Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and organizations
• Ensure efficient communication with clients and team members

Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work
• At least 3 years of experience in the Victim Empowerment Sector (Shelter)
• Police Clearance Certificate
• Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professionals (SACSSP) is compulsory
• Valid Driver’s Licence
• Proficiency in two local languages
• Basic computer literacy
