Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Worker to join our team. The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the repair and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and grounds. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as repairing plumbing or electrical systems, painting, and carpentry work.
- Conduct inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds to identify maintenance need
- Respond to maintenance requests from staff and tenants in a timely manner
- Maintain proper records of maintenance work performed
- Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
- Assist with snow removal, landscaping, and other seasonal maintenance tasks as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
- NQF level 4 required
- 2 to 3 years’ experience
- Experience/qualification in plumbing work or electrical work is advantageous
