A well-established manufacturing company based in Kempton Park is seeking a detail-oriented Production Administrator to join their team. This role is best suited to someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys repetitive data entry tasks, and is highly proficient in Excel. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accurate daily capturing of production orders, monitoring progress, and compiling reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Capture daily production orders and job progress accurately and timeously
Monitor and update production records on a daily basis
Create, maintain and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly production reports using Excel
Assist production and planning teams with data-related queries and administrative support
Ensure all data captured is consistent with production logs and documentation
Maintain records and filing systems both digitally and physically
Identify discrepancies or delays in data and escalate to relevant stakeholders
Requirements:
Matric (Grade 12) minimum
A tertiary qualification in administration, operations, or related field is advantageous
2+ years experience in a production/operations administration role within manufacturing or similar industry
Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data sorting/cleaning)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Ability to work independently and stay focused during repetitive tasks
Good communication skills and a proactive mindset
Reliable, organized, and deadline-driven
