About the Role
The Professional Nurse role at Wits PHRU (Tshepong Hospital Complex) is a critical position that requires coordination and management of daily activities within the study. The successful candidate will assist the Project Head in ensuring the quality and productivity standards are consistently maintained, while providing excellent patient care and support to staff across various departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow up on medication adherence and gestation
- Check patient vitals
- Supply referrals to the participants
- Perform nutritional assessments as and when required
- Review Case report forms and source documentation on a daily basis
- Perform internal quality control checks of completed data
- Provide feedback to team members on internal and external monitoring findings
- Arrange routine training to staff, including areas identified as problem areas
- Capture Data electronically
- Review participants’ files on a daily basis
- Order clinic equipment and clinical medical stock
- Replenish stationery consumables
- Attend to data management queries
- Address WHO queries
- Ensure filling is up-to-date
Requirements
- B Nurse Degree
- Registration as a Professional Nurse
- 2 years experience in a Research environment
- Computer Literate at an intermediate level
