Job Summary
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Senior Pastry Chef to join our team and lead the pastry department in delivering exquisite, high-quality desserts and baked goods. This is your chance to showcase your artistry and technical skill in a premium hospitality environment.
About the Role
You will be responsible for designing, preparing, and presenting exceptional pastries, breads, and desserts, ensuring consistency, creativity, and flawless execution. Working closely with the Executive Chef, you’ll lead a pastry team, develop seasonal menus, and uphold the highest culinary standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating and executing innovative pastry and dessert menus
- Overseeing daily production of pastries, breads, and specialty items
- Ensuring precise portioning, presentation, and taste consistency
- Managing pastry kitchen operations, stock control, and costings
- Leading, training, and mentoring the pastry team
- Maintaining strict hygiene, food safety, and quality standards
- Staying up to date with global pastry trends and techniques
Requirements
- Formal culinary qualification with a focus on pastry
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a high-end hotel, resort, or fine dining environment
- Proven leadership and mentoring skills
- Exceptional creativity, plating skills, and attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen management
