Hospitality and Outdoor New Vacancy Sous Chef Luxury lodge- Madikwe Game Reserve Requirements Minimum 3 years experience as a Sous Chef in a 5-star hospitality environment Formal culinary qualifications Experience managing stock, processing invoices, and reconciling inventory Strong leadership and training abilities Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills Passion for delivering outstanding culinary experiences Flexibility to adapt to the unique demands of a remote lodge setting Passionate about food, people, and conservation Calm, creative, and solutions-oriented Comfortable living and working in a remote, team-based environment Responsibilities Assist in menu planning and execution, incorporating local ingredients and international standards Prepare and present meals for la carte, buffet, and bush dining experiences Maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene Innovate seasonal specials and cater to dietary requirements (e.g., vegan, gluten-free) Oversee stock control, ordering, and supplier quality checks Maintain kitchen equipment and infrastructure Train, mentor, and supervise student intern chefs and kitchen staff Package Between R16- 22 000 per month Accommodation provided on-site.
