Job Opportunity: Mechanical (HVAC and Wet Services)/Fire Engineer

Overview: Hire Resolve is looking for a qualified Mechanical/Fire Engineer to join our client’s team in the Building Services sector. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing Mechanical and Fire Engineering services from project inception through to completion, ensuring strict adherence to South African codes and regulations, while also striving to exceed these standards through Rational Design principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage mechanical building services through all project stages, including conceptualization, design, implementation, and closure.
• Demonstrate independence in managing projects.
• Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to deliver optimal project outcomes.
• Possess a thorough understanding of local codes (SANS Codes) and Rational Design practices.
• Leverage Fire Engineering expertise to ensure effective solutions.
• Prepare detailed specifications and bills of quantities for mechanical scopes of work.
• Generate technical reports to track and communicate project progress and findings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng or BSc).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Building Services Industry.
• Preference for candidates registered as a Professional Engineer with ESCA or eligible to register.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must; Revit proficiency is a plus.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
