About the Role
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our team in Middelburg, South Africa. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality precision components.
Key Responsibilities
- Program CNC machines using onboard programming with G-Codes and M-Codes
- Set up and operate CNC milling and CNC lathe machines to produce precision components
- Operate conventional machines such as milling machines, lathes, and grinders when required
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job cards to determine machining requirements and tolerances
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for machining operations
- Perform machine setups, tool offsets, and program adjustments to ensure accurate production
- Conduct first-off inspections and quality checks using measuring instruments such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges
- Troubleshoot machining issues and modify programs to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Maintain machines and ensure the work area is clean and safe in accordance with company safety procedures
- Work closely with the production and quality teams to ensure production targets and quality standards are achieved
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator
- Strong knowledge of onboard CNC programming (G-Code and M-Code)
- Experience operating both CNC machines and conventional machines (Milling & Turning)
Qualifications
- Formal education in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field
